We currently collaborate with local schools with functioning computer labs to help us host enterprise development workshops and host 4IR Certified Skills training via online courses and mentoring. Furthermore, we have also enlisted support from different businesses that embrace the implementation of UN SDGS and NGOs to become part of our development consortium to help us achieve this Goal. Currently, BAKENE DIGITAL Solution PTY (LTD) is developing a prototype for a Startup Investment Platform to support young entrepreneurs raise the capital they need faster, to grow their businesses, which will result in an increase in youth employment. The majority of South African Youth grapple with many health challenges such as anxiety, depression, HIV, STDs, and others.
According to the Department of Education's September press release, the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) revealed that teen suicide is rising, particularly among females aged 15 to 19. Also, the World Journal of Clinical Cases (2023) has highlighted that South African adolescents are at increased risk of psychological maladjustment due to high rates of crime and violence, which may lead to suicidal thoughts and suicide, hence the need for mental health interventions is urgent.
Through our development consortium, we have partnered with health organizations to help us implement health education & physical fitness training programs, health empowerment events, & access to support groups, to help societies live healthier through access to health professionals and fitness training programs, as well as educating youth about opportunities in the health industry.
The majority of SA youth from rural areas and townships need financial literacy and investing skills. Most grow up without proper financial education and thus make poor financial decisions as adults which leads to a cycle of poverty. To end the cycle of poverty, we have developed a financial wellness program comprised of workshops and training by partners within the consortium who are qualified professionals in the financial industry.
To address the skills gap of critical digital skills highly demanded by the labour market, we have developed an ICT Skills training program with certified courses guaranteed to help them become employed. We currently collaborate with local schools equipped with functional computer labs to help facilitate the youth upskilling initiative.
